The Brisbane Bullets are bringing back star swingman, Lamar Patterson for their #NBL20 campaign.
Patterson joined the Bullets last season and fast became a fan favourite, helping propel the team to a semi-finals appearance.
In his first season in the NBL, the 27-year-old averaged 17.8 points, 6.2 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game on his way to being named in the All NBL First Team.
“Lamar is the ideal fit for how we want to play, he is a very smart player, unselfish and we know he fits with the group we have and the system we run,” said Bullets General Manager of Basketball Richard Clarke.
“Even over the course of the recruitment period, having Lamar return had been a priority and that was something we definitely wanted to make happen.
Patterson finalises an exciting #NBL20 roster for the Bullets, with fellow imports E.J Singler and Taylor Braun, joining Australian Boomers player Nathan Sobey in the squad.
“Taylor is versatile across both forward positions and played a lot in the power forward role recently in Israel, but the style we want to play is less about traditional positions and more about having good players whose skill sets complement each other.
We think the final group we have brought together fits that style of play well, this will be an exciting team to watch.”
Patterson will return to Brisbane in September and will be back in Bullets colours for the round one clash against Wollongong to take on the Hawks and their hyped recruit LaMelo Ball.
